Urban Planning and Sustainable Design
Georgetown is a member of various professional organizations in the urban planning field. This allows us to pursue Economic Development in an environmentally sustainable way throughout the project lifecycle. We encourage and align with stakeholders who are sensitive about Low impact development (LID) and LEEDS project development. We promote and guide Transit Oriented Development in an effort to support walkability and environmentally friendly projects.
Historic preservation is the hallmark of GTA. A true representation of this is evident in its recent undertaking of the historic Aetna Diner in the city of Hartford, Connecticut. We worked closely with the State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service / Department of Interior in order to secure both state and national approvals on this and other projects.
