Colt Factory Urban Redevelopment 

In 2012, as the City of Hartford lead representative, Georgetown Associates led a $120mm project to transform a former gun manufacturer complex into a mixed-use building.

Our efforts included:

  • Raised multi-million-dollar funding and project financing
  • Sought approval to receive the National Park Designation 
  • Assisted the owner in recruiting tenants for the office space

Ten years later, the building still stands at the edge of the City’s Central Business District (CBD), the only National Park in Connecticut.

Comet Diner

In 2016 Georgetown Associates provided project planning and management consultation services to the previous owners of the Comet Diner.

We accomplished the following: 

  • Appealed of tax assessment of the property 
  • Collaborated with the city planning and zoning and historic property commission and stakeholders regarding the reuse of the property 
  • Acquired the property in 2017

Yard Goats Baseball Stadium

In 2014, as the Director of the City of Hartford Economic Division, principal Wayne Benjamin led a $70MM project to construct a 6,000-seat baseball stadium in Downton Hartford, CT.

Our efforts included: 

  • Worked with utility companies to realign the street and underground utilities- cable lighting and gas 
  • Site acquisition and feasibility assessment
  • Lead in the negotiation of the site 
  • Worked with engineers and architects 
  • Worked with City Council for approval, Including a tax fixing agreement for the owner/ operator 
  • Structured the community benefits that the owner provides to city residents
